North Tukvar is a tea garden in the Darjeeling Pulbazar CD block in the Darjeeling Sadar subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
It was established in 1852 and was one of the first tea gardens during the British period. It started producing commercially in 1856. It is located at an altitude of 1,500 to 2,800 feet (460 to 850 m) and has a total area of 195 hectares, out of which tea plantations cover 187 hectares.
It produces the best quality first flush Darjeeling tea and is known for its conventional garden which has about 25% of the area planted with high quality clonal tea bush like AV2, P312 and others.
It has Fair Trade certification, ISO 1901:2008 awarded by TUV NORD and also HACCP. It also produces its own vermi-compost and has a nursery, timber and bamboo forest.
